Kite Flying on Makar Sankranti

Today is the day when skies are filled with kites………not any more with so many people busy at work and others finding kite flying tedious. However, it doesn’t detract from the fact that from today the Sun begins its journey northwards and is marked by kites flying in clear blue skies all over Mumbai. We also celebrate it with sweets made out of roasted sesame seeds, Peanut and a sticky jaggery , giving them out to friend and foe asking bygones to remain bygones.
